Does the Render Feature still cause an extra blit?

A while back when the render feature for immediate mode drawing was introduced games on Quest would run slow due to render features adding an extra blit.

I’d like to use shapes immediate mode drawing but am unsure if it is still an issue with how unity handles URP.

Has there been any news on this?


Does setting the new intermediate texture option to Auto instead if always prevent the performance issue?
